Jake likes warm, neutral tones. He’s really into creams, greys and browns, so I want something understated, yet useful. Perhaps an Ottoman?
This Missoni pouf looks so comfy. Good for resting feet and butts! Plus, it’ll fit nicely in the corner of our lounge.
TAKE A SEAT
A pouf is nice, but you can’t eat your Christmas dinner on it. A couple of small armchairs that match our current décor would be more practical. A chair is for life, not just Christmas, after all.
This gorgeous floral number from Seletti caught my eye. It sticks out, but like a peacock, not a sore thumb. Although, it’s not quite Jake’s taste, and it’s his Christmas present. So, I’ll keep looking.
A CHRISTMAS SOFA
Now, how all these pieces will fit with our current sofa? Currently, it’s like a room full of accent chairs.
Maybe it’s the sofa? Instead of trying to fit all these jigsaw pieces together, why not buy a new one? A new sofa set that is. But it’s hardly going to fit under the Christmas tree, and I’d rather go with something more personal.
Let’s go foot stool. It’s a lot easier to wrap and it will keep dirty shoes off the sofa. It’s also the right size to festoon with these gorgeous little chocolate diamonds.
